  • Basildon Youth Zone

    Thu 26 Nov 2020

Basildon is forging ahead with proposals to bring to the county’s first ever Youth Zone to Basildon!

We need your to help to reach as many young people as possible so they can shape this state-of-the-art facility to their needs.

Youth Zones are a safe environment to spend time with friends, enjoy a nutritious hot meal for just £1, take part in group activities and learn from adult role models.

To young people, a Youth Zone is something truly their own. It is their place to escape the pressures of normal life and focus on their own development. Up to 250 young people can attend a Youth Zone every evening for just 50p a session and £5 for annual membership. Youth Zones are for everyone between the ages of 8 and 19 and up to 25 for those with additional needs.

Please do encourage your child(ren) take part in the consultation as possible by visiting https://www.basildon.gov.uk/yzconsult

The consultation is now open and will close at midnight on Sunday 6 December. Everyone who completes the survey will be in with a chance of winning a £25 Amazon voucher and a £100 voucher for their school.
