Homework

At Northlands, we understand that every child is unique and learns at their own pace. That’s why our homework is tailored to support each child’s individual learning journey.

Each week, we work closely with the children to update their homework tasks, ensuring they reflect their current learning needs. This helps parents understand exactly what their child is working on and how best to support them at home. It also allows us to plan targeted support in school, giving children the extra help or challenge they need.

We truly value the role parents and carers play in supporting learning at home. Just a little time together—reading a book, chatting about their day, or practising a simple skill—can make a big difference.

We know children are often tired after a busy day, so there’s no expectation to work for hours. It’s about finding the right time for your child—when they’re calm, rested, and ready to engage.

Less is more. A few focused minutes of positive learning at home can really help build confidence and reinforce what they’re learning in class.
